Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: May 28, 2026

Crux Data is committed to making cruxdata.io usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time project.

The standard we aim for

We design and build our site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG covers a wide range of recommendations that make content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and learning disabilities.

What we’ve done

Steps we’ve taken to support accessibility on cruxdata.io:

  • Built the site using semantic HTML so that screen readers, voice control, and other assistive technology can navigate it predictably
  • Added text alternatives (alt text or accessible labels) to images, icons, and decorative SVGs
  • Labeled every form field and button so assistive tools announce them clearly
  • Designed for sufficient color contrast and offered both light and dark themes
  • Made every interactive element reachable and operable with a keyboard alone
  • Added a “skip to main content” link so keyboard users don’t have to tab through navigation on every page
  • Avoided animations and motion effects that could cause discomfort, and reduced them automatically when the visitor’s system requests reduced motion
  • Test pages with browser accessibility tools and assistive-technology emulation as part of our publishing process

Known limitations

We’re honest about where we’re still working:

  • Some third-party tools we embed (such as the form provider) may not be fully accessible. If you encounter an issue submitting a form, please email us directly — we will always accept inquiries that way.
  • Some complex animated graphics, such as data dashboards and orbiting tool diagrams, are decorative. Their key information is also conveyed in text nearby.
  • Older versions of some browsers may not render every feature accessibly. We aim to support modern versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

Compatibility

cruxdata.io is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies, including:

  • Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari (latest two versions)
  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
  • Voice control and switch-control input methods
  • Keyboard-only navigation
